Centrally located in the old city, the major sites (Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thara, Clock Tower and market area) are all within an easy and leisurely walking distance, as are the railway station, and Sojati Gate, which can both be reached within ten minutes of walking.

Unlike many of the other so-called guesthouses in Jodhpur and India, the Jain family will embrace you and take you into their fold making you feel like you are part of the family. They pay no comission to touts and live their lives and run their guest house according to strict Jain rules. This means that no alcohol, meat, fish or eggs is allowed into the house and all cuisine is strictly veg (not vegan as milk is used).

How to find us

There are many "Blue House" imitators in the Jodhpur area. If you choose to not use our free pick-up service and come using rickshaw or taxi, be sure to tell the driver to go to "Moti Chowk," the area where the "Jain Family's The Blue House" is located (anybody in the Moti Chowk area will be able to point you in the right direction)
